Oats flaxseeds mathri are a new healthy version of making traditional mathri/flat deep fried flatbread.  Both the ingredients are super nutrient with loads of health benefits. Oats flaxseeds mathri are a great snack for weight conscious people like me.

    Benefit of Oats

Oats are considered to be the healthiest grain these days. This is gluten-free and a great source of many minerals, antioxidants, vitamins and rich in fiber. Oats groats are the most intact and whole form of oats which takes a longer time to cook. Due to this reason, it is preferred as rolled, crushed or steel cut oats form. This is commonly used in breakfast as overnight soaked oats recipes. But can also be used in baking cookies, muffins, cakes, flatbreads and much more.

Though sometimes oats are grown in the same field as wheat or barley. There are some chances that these crops contaminate oats with gluten. So while consuming oats, it is a caution for those who are gluten intolerance. Read more about Oats at 9 Health Benefits of Eating Oats and Oatmeal.

    Flaxseeds Benefit

Flaxseeds are loaded with nutrients like protein, carbs, fiber, healthy fats, vitamins like B1 B6 and minerals like magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. Thought flaxseeds contain so many healthy nutrients but they are mainly known for omega-3 fatty acids and fiber they contain.
Flaxseeds are a rich source of the omega-3 fatty acid ALA. Plant-based ALA fatty acids are proven to have heart health benefits and are linked to a lower risk of stroke. Read more about flaxseeds at Top 10 Health Benefits of Flaxseeds .

    Oats flaxseeds mathri

These mathris are prepared using whole wheat flour, oats flour and flaxseeds flour. Rest of the process is similar to the traditional way of making mathris. Oats flaxseeds mathri are a new healthy version of making traditional mathri/flat deep fried flatbread.  Both the ingredients are super nutrient with loads of health benefits. Since the time I started my weight loss journey, I always look for healthy eating options. The good part is if your family too becomes a part of it, it feels so great and easy to deal with. My father always made sure we are not eating refined flour stuff, he cooked all savory snacks with whole wheat flour. Yes, you read it right :). My father used to make snacks for us. I continued this tradition and make my cakes and snacks with whole wheat flour.
