Homemade Masala Chai Mix | How To Make Masala Chai Spice Mix

Masala chai mix or Tea Masala is a mixture of aromatic whole spices and herbs. Masala simply refers to the mixture of spices like clove, peppercorn, fennel seeds, cinnamon, dry ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg. Here is the recipe of best homemade masala chai mix which adds many flavors to simple Indian milk tea.

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup green cardamom
  • ¼ Cup Cinnamon Stick
  • 3 Tblsp black peppercorn
  • ¼ Cup cloves
  • 2 Tblsp fennel seeds
  • 2 Tblsp dry ginger powder
  • 1 Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients in a jar and grind till you get a coarse powder.
  • You can dry roast all the spices for a minute before grinding. Make sure that spices are at room temperature while grinding.
  • Store it in an airtight container. Homemade Masala chai mix or chai ka masala is ready to use in typical Indian tea recipe.
