"Salsa" is a Spanish word for "Sauce", and it can be either cooked or a fresh mixture of ingredients. Simple homemade salsa ingredients are tomato, bell peppers, jalapeno, lemon juice, red onion, and herbs like green coriander, mint, or basil.

- Fruits- Mango & Strawberry are the star ingredients of this homemade fresh salsa.
- Onion- I prefer using red onion for salsa. I tried other onion but did not like the taste. So using red onion is preferred and recommended. Eliminate if not available.
- Flavors- Jalapeno, a pinch of salt & lemon juice. All three balances the sweetness of fruits and create a flavorful salsa.
- Garnishing- finely chopped green coriander. If you do not like coriander feel free to remove but recommended.
This fresh fruit salsa is a perfect side dish to serve on BBQ parties with tofu or paneer(cottage cheese), Cinco De Mayo celebration, or accompany it with any Mexican meal.
Normally it is a great side dish with grilled items like fish or chicken or salmon. Being vegetarian I enjoy it with tacos and chips.
