    Roohafja is a concentrate of natural herbs, fruits, vegetables, and many other natural ingredients. Having a very strong flavor of rose and cooling properties it helps to keep the body cool in summer.

    It was originated by a Pakistani physician as a cooling agent which is used during hot summer winds in Northern India and Pakistan. This is easily available in stores and online markets.

    Making simple roofafja drink is the easiest way to prepare it. Either add sugar powder to make it or use extra syrup for the sweeter taste.

    Start by adding chilled water, sugar powder, and roohafja syrup. Blend well until sugar is dissolved. Serve immediately. You can add sabja seeds or basil seeds as well to make this refreshing drink.

    Rooh Afza lemonade

    Adding lemon juice in plain rooh afja will result in lemonade. Blend chilled water, lemon juice, sugar, and syrup.

    Rose lassi or Rooh Afza lassi

    Lassi is one of the traditional Indian drinks consumed during summer days. Over time it has evolved with various flavors and styles. Rose lassi is one of the variations of Indian Sweet Lassi.

    Serve chilled and garnish with some dry fruits, I skip this as I enjoy this with rose flavor.

    • I added sugar powder and then rooh afja or rose syrup. You can skip adding sugar and add more syrup to achieve the sweeter version.
    • Stevia, sugar-free, honey, or maple syrup are other sweeteners to use.
    • Use full-fat milk to make a milkshake, it tastes great with whole milk. Though there is no harm making a milkshake with low-fat as well.
    • You can add fruits like strawberry, banana while making milkshake & lassi.
    • Replace water with sprite or sparkling water to make plain rooh afza & lemonade. It will be another frizzy roohafza drink.

    Plain roohafja drink

    • 2 tablespoon roohafja
