“Paratha/flatbread is our all time favorite and we make different types of parathas/flatbread. One of them is paneer paratha/cottage cheese flatbread which is my husband’s favorite. Whenever we bring paneer means only paratha will be made :). Paneer is not my liking so dont use it much. Therefore lots of paneer recipes are left to try. Today I am posting my version of paneer paratha :).”

Wow while reading this I realized blogging taught me so much. Now I know many paneer recipes. Soon all will be posted here. 

Ingredients: Sufficient For Four People

For Dough
2.5 Cup wheat flour
1/2 Tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
1/2 tsp salt
Warm water

For Stuffing
200 Gram paneer/cottage cheese grated
1 Medium sized onion chopped finely
2 Green chili chopped finely
1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
2 Tbsp coriander leaves chopped finely
1/2 Tsp garam masala
1/2 Tsp red chili powder (powder)
1 Tsp grated ginger
Salt as per taste
Oil to fry parathas

Method: Make a soft dough using warm water. Keep it aside covering the lid. This process makes dough very soft by the time stuffing is ready. 

Grate the paneer/cottage cheese in a mixing bowl. Add all the listed ingredients and mix well. Adjust salt and chili as per your taste. This is ready to fill.

Now stuffing is ready to be filled. 9-10 parathas/flatbread can be made with this dough quantity. Depends upon the size you wanna make. Divide dough and stuffing in equal parts. Roll out a circle of about 3″ in diameter. Place stuffing as per you choice and gently close it. Roll this around 6-8″ diameter circle. You can choose any shape to make this.

Heat a griddle and cook this paratha/flatbread from both sides until brown in color. 

Repeat the same with other dough balls.

Paneer paratha/stuffed cottage cheese flatbread is ready to serve hot with curd, pickle or any chutney/dip.

Note: Just adjust salt and chilies as per your taste.This paratha/flatbread I find very easy to make.
