Lentils or dals are a great source of protein. Lauki chana dal is my father’s favorite dish. I remember him telling my mom to cook it time to time. Here is I am telling how my mom cooked which somewhere I tweaked as per my taste. If I remember lauki was never tasted good to me and avoided by me whenever my mom cooked it. But after blogging I am fallen in love with this healthy vegetable.

  1. I can say that this dish will definitely keep myself comforting. Am a ardent fan of lauki dishes and this dal lauki rocks Bhawana, just need some rice and papads to relish this dish.

  2. This lauki chana dal is the best way to make my kids eat lauki and it feels so good in summers. I don’t add kitchen king, I’m sure it must have enhanced the flavour. Next time will try with that 😊

  3. WoW same taste I am also preparing this Chana Dal with Lauki in a same way & it loooks really delicious..love to eat with chapati and pickle 😋

  4. We have this curry at home atleast once a week as we are major fans of bottle gourd. I absolutely love this with rotis or a steaming bowl of rice. One pot options are always the best.
