Ingredients

- Dates- Date is the hero ingredient of this burfi recipe. NOTE- I am using Medjool dates as they are very soft and easy to handle. If you do not have access to them, then feel free to use normal dates. Soak them in hot milk for 30 minutes.
- Dry fruits- Almonds, cashew, pistachio are the nuts used in this recipe. Do not restrict yourself from adding seeds like pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds.
- Desiccated coconut- Coconut gives a nutty, chewy texture that comes from its flakes. Mixing up with dates & nuts, it tastes amazing.
- Ghee- I used ghee for roasting nuts. However, it is not mandatory. You can skip and make your vegan version of the dates burfi recipe.
- Cardamom powder- It gives a nice aroma to this nuts burfi.
- Poppy seeds- Khuskhus is used to coat the outer layer. It adds a nice flavor and crunch coming from tiny roasted seeds.
