Dulce de leche coconut ladoo are chewy and caramel flavored delicious sweet. This irresistibly tasty ladoo are prepared with just 3 ingredients. Coconut Ladoo is a very popular sweet in Pune during Ganpati festival. I prepared these ladoos using homemade dulce de leche.
Coconut ladoo or nariyal ladoo are often prepared for festive times like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali, and Holi. Having said that you can make them anytime when running out of time.
Dulce de leche is made by boiling condensed milk on a medium flame for about two hours. It tastes like caramel and a very delicious flavor. Ladoos made with it taste chocolaty and melts in the mouth. For the aroma use cardamom powder. You can add dry fruits filling as well inside the ladoos to make them chewier.
How To Make Dulce de leche- To make it first take a saucepan which is big enough to accommodate the condensed milk can. Pour water to reach the higher side of the can. Now boil it on medium heat for about two hours. Sweetened milk slowly turns to brown in color and thicker. Keep adding more water for two hours to make sure that can is completely drowned in the water. After two hours take it out and let it come at room temperature. Dulce de leche is ready to use.
